The founders of AAUW, initially called the Association of Collegiate Alumnae, wanted their educational opportunities to be made available to other women because they believed that education was the key to equity and professional advancement. Their belief continues to be a driving force behind AAUW. We hope you will join this active and enriching organization! Regular Membership and Graduate Student Membership in AAUW is open to any graduate holding an associate degree or higher from a qualified U.S. educational institution, a degree from a foreign institution recognized by AAUW, or a foreign degree accepted at accredited U.S. graduate schools. Undergraduates in two- or four-year educational institution can join as branch student affiliates. Annual dues for the Manhattan (KS) Branch of AAUW are $70 (includes national, state and local fees) for Regular Members and $18.81 for K-State Graduate Students, for the first year and $49 per year thereafter. E-student affiliation for all full-time K-State Undergraduate Students is free. The annual membership period is July 1 through June 30. A portion ($46) of the Regular Membership dues is tax-deductible. Persons interested in membership are always welcome to submit an application.
