The branch interest groups provide great opportunities to socialize while exploring new topics and ideas. Members are welcome to attend any of the monthly meetings (please see the newsletter for more information). All branch members are welcome to come to programs that interest them. New groups may be formed at any time during the year. Please call the Interest Group Coordinator, Joan Strickler (785-539-4752), if you have an idea for a new group.
Stay tuned to the radio for news of cancellation of any program or meeting.
Members enjoy sharing good books and trading them rather than talking about a single book read by all. The group meets the second Friday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at the Manhattan Public Library. Chair: Joan Strickler (785-539-4752).
This discussion group utilizes the Great Decisions Program of the Foreign Policy Association as a guide in studying international issues affecting the world. It meets on the second Thursday of the month at 10:00 a.m. at Meadowlark Hills Chair: Mary Stamey (785-565-3295).
Each member agrees to be responsible for finding a meeting place as well as host a program once a year. The luncheon meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month and the programs are, indeed, serendipitous! Chair: Nancy Bolsen (785-565-8720).
