AAUW MANHATTAN BRANCH MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 14, 2016
Flint Hills Room, K-State Union, 7:00 p.m. 

Meeting: The November 14, 2016 AAUW Branch meeting was held at the K-State Union Flint Hills room. It was co-sponsored by Women of K-State who provided the refreshments after the speaker.

Program: Tresa Landis introduced the speaker Dr. Kelly Sartorius, adjunct professor at the University of Kansas. She has a B.A. and Ph.D. from Kansas State University. Her areas of emphasis range from public relations to women’s studies to the history of higher education and women’s leadership. She specializes in the development of feminist practices in higher education, which uncovered a little-known partnership between Midwestern and Western schools and AAUW.

AAUW set up a table with membership materials available. Several women indicated an interest in learning about AAUW and membership.

Reports: No business meeting was held. The next meeting will be December 12 at Trinity Presbyterian Church on College Avenue. The program will be The Church Ladies Music Harmonies followed by a gift exchange, dessert and coffee.
